Foster
We understand that a home is any dog's ideal environment. Fosters allow us to continue to offer our important efforts of taking animals in, getting them the care they need, and working to find their forever family. If you're not familiar with the foster process, please find more information below or fill out our foster application. We will work to find the best fit for anyone who is able to open their home to one of NLDA's great dogs!

Foster Criteria
-
Be 18 years of age or older.
-
Disclose any other pets in the home (and if they are/aren't spayed/neutered and up to date on standard veterinary care, including necessary vaccinations).
-
Be accommodating, unfortunately some dogs have had an undesirable upbringing. Patience is necessary with these types of dogs and every dog is different.
-
Be willing to help dogs learn and develop their behavior to help them find and fit into a forever home. This includes utilizing our What To Expect aftercare information that is catered to each dog.
-
Be cautious and watch out for their well-being.
-
Administer basic care - water, food, medications, socialization, transportation, etc.
If you do not meet these criteria but are interested in fostering, please reach out to us! We are very understanding and may be able to accommodate your needs.
